Bikash Bogati

I always thought microbiologists are insane; people investigating things invisible to human eyes, but once I was introduced to the tools to study these miniatures I was so into this field of insanity. Today I dissect the molecular mechanisms that bacteria use to survive stress conditions and tolerate antibiotics. My current research is focused on a very interesting gene pair in enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli, a worldwide foodborne pathogen, particularly investigating the role of this gene pair in bacterial survival and pathogenesis.
