Samiullah Khan

Dr Samiullah Khan completed his PhD in 2017 in Molecular Biology from the University of New England, Australia. Dr Khan holds a Masters degree from the same university and a Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, Pakistan. Dr Khan worked as a veterinarian from March 2008 to July 2010 in Pakistan. Dr Khan also worked as a Research Assistant from September 2012 to September 2013 at the University of New England under the supervision of Professor Juliet Roberts. Dr Khan holds expertise in many areas of veterinary medicine including avian molecular microbiology and has published over 40 journal articles, conference abstracts and conference peer-reviewed full-length papers. As an expert in the field, Dr Khan is involved regularly in peer reviewed process of scientific manuscripts for journals including BMC Genomics, Vaccine, Molecular Genetics and Genomics, Bioscience Reports, Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, Journal of Clinical Microbiology, Current Drug Delivery, Journal of Clinical Microbiology, OIE and Poultry Science. Currently, Dr Khan is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of veterinary microbiology with Professor Kapil Chousalkar at The University of Adelaide, Australia. Dr Khan’s research interests include host-pathogen interactions, gut health and food safety.
