Ayodeji Idowu

Dr. Ayodeji Idowu is currently a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of The Witwatersrand South Africa. He obtains Bachelor and Masters degrees in Abeokuta Nigeria before proceeding to the University of Fort Hare South Africa for the doctoral program. He studies Microbiology with a research interest in microbial infections. His doctoral research focuses on Helicobacter pylori with a close attention to laboratory diagnosis, pathogenesis, and treatment of gastroduodenal diseases associated with H. pylori. Trained at Max von Pettenkofer Institute Ludwig Maximillian University (LMU) Munich Germany, laboratory skills were acquired for both in-vivo and invitro studies of the microbe. Dr. Idowu possesses experience in teaching as a Biology Instructor at the University of The Gambia and has published articles in both local and International Journals and presented papers at Conferences. He is a member of Nigeria and South Africa Society for Microbiology, as well as the African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM).
